Hello, I am Dawn Graver and I am the School Resource Officer currently assigned to Monticello Community School District. I am a Monticello native and a Monticello High School Graduate. I graduated from Mt Mercy University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I have been employed by the Monticello Police Department since 1991. In 2018 I took the role of School Resource Officer (SRO). My role as Resource Officer is to be a law enforcement officer, informal counselor, and mentor available for classroom instruction in law-related education, safety programs alcohol and drug prevention. I provide visible active law enforcement at all schools. My goal is to foster positive relationships and a safe learning environment for students, staff, and parents of the Monticello Community School District. I also work hand in hand with faculty and administration to solve or prevent problems in the school community.
