The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the gateway to financial aid to pay for college. Students should complete the FAFSA as soon after October 1st as possible. See below for the steps involved in the process.
FSA ID
The FSA ID is the electronic signature portion of the FAFSA. Both the student and one parent need an FSA ID to submit the FAFSA. Here is an information sheet about the process and a place to record the information needed every year of college. The FSA ID site can be accessed here.
