- It will cost $26.5 million dollars to build an elementary school at the high school/middle school site
- The school is asking the community to support the project with a $15 million dollar General Obligation Bond (Which is paid by the taxpayers)
- The school district will cover the additional costs with Penny Sales Tax dollars (These dollars will not increase taxes)
- A $15 million dollar General Obligation Bond will cost taxpayers $1.10 per $1000 of Net Taxable Value
- The payment plan will be restructured, combining the current debt with the new debt, and our payments will only be extended 9 years (Currently payments will expire in 2038 and after restructuring they would extend through 2047)
- Waiting to build the elementary will cost an additional $1 million dollars per year (Based on a 4% increase annually, which has been the standard for projects like this)
