It is the mission of the Monticello Community School District Foundation Board to secure funds from sources other than the traditional methods of taxation. Upon securing such funds, the Foundation shall guide the expenditure of those funds in an effort to supplement the school district’s ability to provide excellent opportunities for all students.
The Perpetual Fund of the Monticello School District Foundation was established in 1995. The Perpetual Fund income is used to ensure the students of the Monticello School District the opportunity to compete in the 21st century. Since 1988 the board of the Monticello School District Foundation has worked to provide educational improvements to assist classroom teachers in their goal of a strong basic education. The students benefit from the many projects the foundation has supported.
The Monticello School District Foundation has contributed over $700,000 to directly benefit the students in the Monticello School District.
