The Monticello School District is a PBIS school. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. This is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success. Attention is focused on creating and sustaining school-wide, classroom and individual systems of support that improve personal, health, social, family, work, recreation aspects for all students in the Monticello Community School District.
The Monticello Middle School spent the first week of school reviewing the 4 characteristics of the middle school’s PBIS program. Students aim to be RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL, SAFE AND CARING individuals. Below are a few of the videos students created. Enjoy!
